Cassidy Peterson

Cassidy Peterson is the Career Connected Learning (CCL) Program Manager for Greater Spokane Inc. (GSI) and Spokane STEM for the Education and Talent Department. Cassidy, a graduate of Whitworth University, began her career at GSI coordinating programmatic efforts of connecting business and education. Today, she continues to lead programmatic efforts as well as CCL strategic alignment across the region. GSI’s Education and Talent Department works to engage business and education in partnerships that facilitate growth in the Spokane region’s talent pipeline. This portfolio of work encompasses our earliest learners through adult student re-engagement. Cassidy is leading GSI’s CCL portfolio through the Business AfterSchool and Teaching the Teaches programs and, most recently, our newest effort with Career Connect Spokane, the regional initiative connected to Governor Inslee’s recent roll out of Career Connect Washington to serve youth across the state.

Cassidy is a member of the Spokane Workforce Council’s Youth Employment and Career Readiness Network, as well as several local district Career and Technical Education (CTE) General Advisory Committees. Cassidy strongly supports, and is involved with, CTE because of the preparedness and relevance it gives students to the curriculum they learn day-in and day-out. She believes that the strength of a community comes straight from both business and education thriving, which means cross-sector partnerships are crucial for the Spokane region’s success.

When not working, you can find Cassidy outside on a hike, run, adventuring, or traveling with her husband and friends. Cassidy and her husband also lead a high school student leadership development group for juniors and seniors who are a part of North Spokane Young Life. She loves learning from others and is passionate about connecting people and efforts for the betterment of building a strong community.
