CTE Careers

The day of students dropping out of high school and finding a living wage job at the local mill are, for the most part, long-gone. In today’s competitive, high tech environment, so, too, are those of the university graduate brandishing a liberal arts degree and finding high-paying employment. So are there job opportunities out there? Yes! But today’s students need to be prepared. Career and Technical courses provide that preparation in many ways.

Career & Technical Education (CTE) incorporates curriculum and instruction designed to enable students to apply core academic skills to meaningful and relevant situations that they will find in the real world; to attain 21st century thinking, leadership and employability skills; and to gain technical skills related to particular pathways.
